What to Expect

PlasmaBlast™ is a non-surgical treatment with minimal discomfort. PlasmaBlast™ is administered using a hand-held device that emits a small electrical arc from the tip of the pen without actually touching the skin. This plasma arc vaporises the superficial layer of the epidermis giving an immediate tightening effect to the surrounding area as the propagation of heat stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, the main components responsible for the strength and elasticity of your skin.
Topical cream is applied to numb the treated area prior to procedure. The procedure is virtually pain-free and leaves the patient with minimal down-time. Immediately after the treatment the skin will be reddened and lightly swollen. This will usually last for 3-5 days, although slight redness may remain for up to 2-4 weeks.
After the procedure crusts will form on the skin directly where the Plasma Blast™ electrode was applied. These small points form scabs that typically drop off over 5-7 days post treatment, revealing a smoother and tighter skin. To minimise complications, you will be informed on proper aftercare following the procedure. Optimal results are achieved within 1 to 3 sessions, depending on the amount of skin that needs to be reduced.

The PlasmaBlast Treatment Process
All PlasmaBlast™ treatments are preceded by a consultation in order to do an individual assessment of the desired treatment area, go through a medical checklist, the consent form, and provide pre-treatment advice.
Topical numbing cream should be applied liberally to the treatment area 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.
At the start of the session, before-pictures will be taken, and a second layer of topical cream applied and allowed to penetrate for another 30 minutes. A typical treatment session will last 30-60 minutes, depending on the area to be treated. Patients are encouraged to schedule a follow-up consultation 6-8 weeks after the treatment, bearing in mind that it could take up to 8-12 weeks for final
