PlasmaBlast™ promotes the skin’s natural healing process through the application of a controlled ‘micro-beam of plasma’ to superficial layers of skin. Plasma Blast™ is administered using a hand-held device that emits a small electrical arc from the tip of the pen without actually touching the skin. This plasma arc carbonises the skin giving an immediate tightening effect to the surrounding skin. The propagation of heat stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, the main components responsible for the strength and elasticity of your skin.

PlasmaBlast™ is more than a simple tightening treatment, as skin volume is actually reduced. The effects should last as long as they would with more invasive treatments, e.g. surgery. Like all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of the treatment are not entirely permanent as it does not stop any further ageing, but the positive results should last years. The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, but the final results will be seen after 8-12 weeks. For some, an additional treatment may be required after 6-8 weeks. It is also crucial to stay away from the direct sunlight for the next few days and wear sunblock of minimum SPF30.

Any following symptoms exist in the treatment area: sore, psoriasis, eczema, rash.
Clients having hemorrhage and coagulation history or using anticoagulation.
Having taken Isotretinoin in 6 months or any drugs or herbs, such as tetracycline and hyperforin in 2 weeks, which may induce photosensitivity.
Clients have taken facial laser treatment and deeper layer chemical peeling treatment in three months is not allowed to taken facial treatment again.

Clients have taken surgery in treatment area or still in recovering in 3 months.

Keeping your skin cells and interstitial spaces hydrated will improve the efficiency of the current in terms of how far it can travel into the skin and muscles and therefore its effect. Sessions start with a consultation in order to do an individual assessment of the desired treatment area, go through a medical checklist, the consent form, and provide pre-treatment advice. For Example: A full face treatment takes 60minutes, and a partial face or brow lift treatment can take around 45 minutes - neither with any downtime.

All Kuma™ treatments are scheduled for 45-60 minutes. Sessions start with a consultation in order to do an individual assessment of the desired treatment area, go through a medical checklist, the consent form, and provide pre-treatment advice. At the start of the session, before-pictures, measure & weight will be taken. The treatment area will be mapped while the client is in standing position. The cellulite or outline may change if patient is lying down.The treatment itself will last 30-60 minutes, depending on the area to be treated.

There may be a burning sensation or even some pain immediately after the treatment. This will usually resolve during the first 24 hours. Dabbing the treated area with Colloidal Silver is recommended for the first 24 hours, after which regular application of Bepanthen Anti-septic Soothing Cream is recommended.

Following the treatment, it is normal to have redness and some swelling. This can be significant around the eyes, can last up to 5 days and may lead to interference with vision in the initial period. Cold compresses may be applied lightly to reduce the swelling.

Short term redness and slight tenderness may continue for up to 4 weeks following the treatment.

Crusting will usually develop over the treated area within 2-4 days. This will initially be brown or black on the surface of the skin and will naturally flake off after 5-7 days, however, it may take up to 2 weeks to completely disappear. It is essential to not pick at or scratch this crusting as this may lead to infection or scarring. Occasionally the treated area may become a little weepy, this is part of the normal healing process and will improve with time. However, if it starts to become hot or red or if there is any pus present, then please contact the clinic for advice as this may suggest an infection has developed.

It is essential to keep the treatment area clean, nourished and apply anti-septic spray 2-3 times daily. Dabbing with a clean, lint-free cloth is allowed. Do not use alcohol-based cleansers.

Do not apply sunscreen or make-up until the crusts have completely fallen off. In the unlikely event an infection arises, or the swelling or redness has not subsided within 7 days, contact the clinic. A persisting infection can lead to scarring.

Sports, swimming and sauna are not permitted until crusts have completely fallen off. Avoid direct or indirect sunlight for 4-6 weeks after the treatment. Do not use self-tanning products for at least 3 months after the last treatment. Once healed we highly recommend using an SPF-50 on the area to prevent ageing and hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure.
